Qu&Co is looking for Quantum Algorithm Developers
Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London, Paris

Qu&Co is a leading quantum computational algorithm and software development business founded in 2017 and headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands with clients and research activities around the globe.

We develop quantum algorithms and software for numerical simulations in multi-physics and chemistry. Some of our recent work includes DOI:10.1103/PhysRevA.103.052416 (quantum approach for solving nonlinear PDEs), arXiv:2009.12472 and DOI:10.1103/PhysRevA.103.032605. Some of our clients include Covestro, Airbus, BMW, Johnson & Johnson and LG Electronics.

We are expanding our activities and are looking to hire a quantum algorithm developer who wants to work in an applied R&D environment closely collaboration with our clients, academic advisors and strategic partners to develop and test novel quantum-algorithms.

We only hire on a Postdoc level: minimum requirement is a completed PhD, with your thesis submitted before joining, in quantum-information science or a related fields and proven coding experience with at least one of the leading quantum assembly languages (a quantum coding exercise is part of our recruitment process. Postdoc or industry experience is a plus.

Desirable experience includes research into quantum algorithms for gate based QPUs, (quantum) machine learning, variational quantum algorithms and parametric quantum circuits, generative modeling, hands-on experience with QPU experiments and error mitigation methods.

Available positions include a role as (senior) quantum algorithm developer up to VP of quantum algorithms, depending on the experience of the candidate. Responsibilities of such roles include leading (part of) our quantum algorithm development work, managing teams of researchers (internal, academic, clients, interns) and/or co-design research (hardware-software) with quantum hardware partners.

Although this position is advertised specifically for our offices in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London and Paris, remote working from other cities or countries can be discussed. We are an equal opportunity employer. More information about our company can be found at quandco.com.
